What is it?
Email. Instant Messaging. Pincushion!
Pincushion makes the entire Web and all its content into one big community. With Pincushion you can exchange thoughts, ideas, observations, reviews, etc., on ANY Web site!
You can read your own and other peoples’ comments and conversations as you surf the Web. Or you can see them on the www.mypincushion.com Web site.
When you leave a comment on a Web site, you can even control who gets to read and reply to it. Comments can be publically visible, visible only to people you know, or by invitation only.
Pincushion Essentials
Here’s what you need to know:
- To fully participate, you should install the Pincushion Browser Extension. It’s available for Internet Explorer and Firefox.
- When you click on a comment, a Detail View opens along the bottom of your browser window. Use this view to participate in the conversation.
- Click New Comment in the sidebar to post a new comment. A Comment Space opens along the bottom of the browser. You can simply enter a Title and Comment and click POST.
- To control who can see your comment use the Worldview slider in the Comment Space.
- To invite people to read your comment, put their email addresses in the To: area. Invitations will be sent via email to these recipients and to their Pincushion Inbox (if they’re registered users). You can change this setting.
- Before you dig too deep, you should master the Worldview, a revolutionary way of managing privacy and connections.
Pincushion Community
You can quickly create a Personal Pincushion Network (it’s like a Buddy List) and keep your communications private within your group. Or converse with the whole world while discovering new voices on the hottest topics.
You can easily import all of your social networks and contacts, setup privacy and notification preferences that let you keep in touch while staying private, and watch your favorite Web sites and Pincushion People for new comments.
